Central Lime Project
The Central Lime Project is located in a Special Economic Zone in PNG’s Central Province and includes quicklime kilns, an export wharf, and will draw on a 382 Mt limestone resource. The Project, which is under construction, represents a significant opportunity to deliver lasting benefits to PNG by creating hundreds of direct jobs, stimulating local enterprise, and establishing a nationally significant domestic supply of lime that will support construction and industrial development in PNG.
Central Cement Project
The proposed Central Cement Project will be a world-class, long-life project that will manufacture low carbon cement and clinker products that will be a new competitively priced and reliable source of supply to PNG and Australia.
Orokolo Bay Industrial Sands Project
The Orokolo Bay Project is a low cost, net zero vanadium titano-magnetite and industrial sands development in PNG. The Project is currently under construction in partnership with Pacific Unison and is targeting the first production in Q4 2025 with an annual output target of 500,000 tonnes of magnetite.
Renewables and Carbon Credits
PLC is developing a portfolio of carbon credit and renewable energy projects to deliver environmental and economic value to PNG. These include forestry based carbon credits, integration of solar into the Central Lime Project and exploring the potential for geothermal power generation to decarbonise PNG’s energy sector.
Nation Building in PNG
PLC will help PNG build a stronger and more resilient economy through developing domestic supply of lime and cement. Lime and cement are critical materials for a developing economy and improving supply will contribute to job creation in a country with ambitions for significant growth.
